About the studio
A studio for surfaces
that should outlast
the building.
The story
Claraseal started on a single project in 2014: a Melbourne home with terrazzo floors that no one else would touch. We did. Ten years and hundreds of projects later, stone and concrete restoration is still all we do.
We work across two disciplines that most operators try to keep separate. On the stone side: marble, granite, limestone, sandstone, travertine, bluestone. Sealing, polishing, restoration, repair. On the concrete side: grinding, polishing, terrazzo, and epoxy flooring. They're cousins. The chemistry overlaps. The diamond pads are the same. The eye that one teaches you for the other is what makes the work better.
We work for Melbourne homeowners who care about the floor under their feet, builders and architects who need a finish that won't fail, and commercial fit-outs where the surface is the brand. We don't sub-contract. We don't generalise. And we don't quote jobs we can't do well.
Principles
Four things we
refuse to compromise.
Diagnose before quoting
Every surface is different. We come and see it (or get a clear photo) before we put a number to it. No "from $X" template quotes.
Match chemistry to substrate
Penetrating, enhancing, topical, food-safe: every stone takes a different sealer. We test it, then we seal it. Not the other way around.
Leave the site cleaner
Industrial dust extraction. Joinery and floors masked. Daily clean-down. A polished concrete floor isn't an excuse for a wrecked house.
Stand behind the work
Years after the job, we'll still pick up the phone. If something isn't right, we come back. Long-term reputation outranks short-term margin every time.
